Manufacturing

The Aware Enterprise Manufacturing provides a comprehensive application for designing, costing and managing a manufactured product in the plant.

Being modular, it allows for manufacturing in multiple plants with dependencies.

It is geared to high levels of QC specification and recording sufficient for TGA and Food manufacturing standards as well as for Certified Organic manufacturers.

Manufacturing Data Management (Bills of Material)

  • The Manufacturing Specification provides an integrated definition of how a product is manufactured including:
    • material 
    • operations 
    • Subcontract processes, and other resources.
  • Multiple versions can be maintained for different manufacturing plants or production lines and for engineering change management.
  • Batch bills, yield and waste cater for blending and batch process manufacturing. 
  • Potency of materials can be held and used to calculate exact requirements for a process. 
  • Work Centres are maintained by site and hold all the cost rates and default scheduling information. They can be grouped by section for scheduling and reporting purposes.
  • Routes with multiple allowed Work Centres with process rates through each work centre are maintained and can be used for costing and scheduling.

Execution of Work Orders and Shop Floor Control

  • Work Orders are created from Sales Orders, released from MRP or released manually.
  • Full shop floor documentation can be printed including Drawings and QA instructions.
  • Work-centre, job and employee schedules may be printed by shift, day or week
  • Sub-contract purchase orders along with pick lists and instructions can be automatically generated for sub-contracted operations
  • Recording of production may be by:
    • Bar Code recording on Work Orders 
    • feed from a data collection sub-system 
    • later entry of employee time sheets.

Costing

Aware allows for multiple cost components including set-up and with different forms of overhead.
Costs for a manufactured item can be calculated dynamically for the current level, or a complete re-cost performed for all levels up to the current level.

Actual costs are accumulated and compared to the standard by Job, Work Centre, Product and Employee.
